The Beginning

I awoke this morning with the instant realization that a brand new year has begun.  The feeling was similar to the beginning of a new school year, or a milestone birthday having arrived, or even, for me, Spring arriving with all her finery. A feeling of really intense happiness...

2009 has now gone down in the history books. For me, it was a year of continuous renovations and rebuilding around our home. It was a year where we worked hard to add value to our place. A shop/studio now graces an area where formerly Trees and Boulders once held pride of place.

2010...the sound of it brings contentment to me. I wonder why that is? What is in store, that makes those numbers sound so right?

According to the Universal Psychic Guild, this  Number 3 Universal Year tells us...

"This vibration carries energy to communicate, create, maintain social relationships and joy of life. Hopefully this means that the World will finally get their act together for the celebration of an agreement on climate change. On the negative side there is the danger of self-indulgent behaviour, too much partying, spending and a possible financial crash again if we are not watching what the bank managers and mortgage agents are doing."

And Daniel Heydon's Numerology Blog states...

"A 3 Year means social activity with both old and new friends. You may scatter your energies and undertake too many things at once. It is a time to be happy but not frivolous. The accent is on charm and creativity. "

I'm thinking this might be the year where we undertake more socializing and more sightseeing trips than we have as yet, here in the Cariboo. There will be time, that precious commodity, for it.

It feels as if the Number 3 Universal Year will lead me to a more positive outlook upon each day, which I vow to seize.  It feels as if there is anticipation within me, even as the state of Worldly doings continue to worsen.

My heart will open more, this coming year.  I am no longer so apprehensive of close relationships...will or will they continue? my eternal question...And if they do not, instead of curling myself into a rounded position and closing that heart again tightly...I will keep it open, grateful for the experience.

2010...the number conjures up grace and hospitality and joy.  Yes, joy. There has been precious little of this emotion for humanity.  I wish, also, that I not forget the ordinary joys of life so quickly, when I substitute the remembrance of negative moments instead.

I want harmonious feelings to flow, in the coming year. And it feels, this morning, as if they will, no matter the travails to which I may be subjected.

Happy but not frivolous...2010 sounds very nice to me, indeed!

  3. Dear Marion, I have looked forward to the year 2010 for five year now. For five years I've known that this is the year that I will retire, that great changes in a new life will start.

That it is a 3 year, a number that always makes me think of the Holy Trinity, makes it all the more right and exciting.

Wishing you all the best in YOUR 2010 Marion. Annie

  5. Jan,

Other people have told me they have felt this would be a good year. They don't know why, either...it could be because Mercury is presently retrograde, which makes everything feel slower and more patient, somehow.

    Alison,

Yes, we built a woodworking studio. Graham works with wood, building furniture and cabinets and the odd piece of art. But because working with wood causes sawdust, my studio will continue to be in the house. There is plenty of room in this little shop, which is 24' x 24', with a woodstove, gas heat, and enough electrical boxes for any piece of machinery. It has the nicest feeling about it...I must do a post about the building of it.

    Annie,

Happy Retirement!I'm so glad 2010 is the year! And yes, the number 3 reminds me of the holy trinity as well. The number 3 reminds us to not overdo any of your plans, but to enjoy the freedom of retirement. Lovely!

    KJ,

I'm glad to know you,as well! That's the thing for me...closing up when I think things might be going badly, thereby making whatever it is worse. I have promised myself I will smile and remain open, even when it might hurt.

Better than the closed up clamshell feeling! And I'll help you, if you'll help me, lol!

Don't worry about the email...life will calm down again and there will be time to get things in order. I do hope you have had time to work on your second book, however...I am rooting for you!

  6. It will be very interesting to see which of these things happen this year. I know very little about numerology - but there are some interesting parts of it.

    Thank you for sharing,

  8. How was the coast? Warmer there, maybe swimming weather.
We are in the deep freeze -- please reclaim your chillid weather...
And an inspired new year to you both.

  9. Tom,

Happy New Year to you! I've read your most recent post on leadership and am still thinking about it. I'm finding it difficult, because each time I come up with an answer, something inside me argues against it. Thanks for the provocative questions, Tom.

    Sheila,

Happy New year to you, Sheila! As I said, I am looking forward to your third resolution...

    Goatman,

Well, the polar bear swims which are held on Jan 1 in various communities went off okay, even when they had to break ice to do so, lol!

I've heard over the news about that huge storm that hit your area. Arctic front has now barrelled its way down over us once again...it's -18C this morning. I guess I'm getting accustomed to that Cold!

With the cold weather you're experiencing, perhaps its time for you to write some more of your poetry? hee hee!

  10. Dear Marion thank you for being so sweet and thinking about me. I hope that star was blinking for us both, telling us a secret on the wind of good things to come.

    Happy New Year.

    Love Renee xoxo

  11. The Number 3 is that spiritual connection to God and the Universe. I too feel that this year will be special and very spiritual. I wish you a very healthy and happy 2010.

    Blessings

  12. Marion, I saw your post at Renee's place and couldn't resist visting another Marion. LOL! In the Tarot's major arcana, the 3 is the Empress. She's the fertile, life-giving mother, so I'm taking that as a good sign for this year. Great post. Blessings!

  13. Renee,

I shall continue to offer special meditations for you each morning. There is magic in the deep dark before the dawn. I can do very little, but there is huge power in prayer and faith. I wish you many blessings for 2010.

    Dave,

I am so glad you felt it as well, as I have great faith in your abilities and spirituality. Many blessings to you and yours, Dave and thank you for your comment!

    Marion,

How odd...I feel as if I am writing to myself. It's so nice to meet you. And yes, the Empress! She's also very strong-minded, which could be good if it's used in an honest, loving way. Thanks so much for visiting...I am on my way to your blog to visit another Marion!

  14. Lovely post, and the graphics especially rock! Love the eye, which makes me think of the old Grateful Dead song: Wake up to find out
that you are the eyes of the world
    .

    Happy New Year, Marion!

  15. Daisy,

Happy New Year to you and yours as well! I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your grandkids!

I am in awe of your abilities to remember the words to the old songs. It is a gift, Daisy, really a true gift. And I thank you for it, since I can't remember many of them. Possibly, the words to You Are My Sunshine are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head.

But the song works in most situations, lol!

  18. Suki,

How exciting...and perfect! We both hail from a land of Snow and Ice, so I understand completely about getting out to go to the P.O.!
As I mentioned on your blog, someone else got your name and will be sending your box to you...I've received Debra Kay's name and address.

    Emily,

HOW COMPLETELY AWESOME! You don't need to be nice, you can swear, and you can throw frozen peas if you want! It'll be good no matter what you do.

Did you know this is the first time I have EVER won anything? Wow, this is great and I don't mind when it is written...I know what a busy, busy Rabbit you are!

  19. Have a wonderful year. I hope you do take some time travel. We enjoyed our trip to Newfoundland so much last year that we are going to return this year and take more time to explore there and in Labrador. This is such a great country with so many wonderful places to see. - Margy
